22 Feb 2020 Dardan Bekaj Today, on the 18th of February 2020, the international week with SMAPHC project partners at Heimerer College began. Project partners come from European Union countries and Turkey. Representative institutions in this project are Metropolia University, JAMK University and Manisa University. Today a week training for the academic and professional staff of Heimerer College, Kadri Zeka University, Gjakova University “Fehmi Agani”, Institute of Southeast Europe for Health and Social Policy, as well as NGO “AUTISM” has begun. This training provides a golden opportunity to develop curriculum-relevant competencies aimed at developing student competencies in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship, multi-disciplinary collaboration, client involvement, and practice-based work. The purpose of this visit is to participate and co-run the workshop organized for the development of a model for a student-run Multidisciplinary Center. This is a product of the SMAHPC Project (Student-run Multidisciplinary Allied Health Practice Center) granted by the European Commission’s ERASMUS + Program, where Heimerer College is the leading applicant. 8 Jun 2019 Dardan Bekaj Throughout the Mobility 4, where our partners from Finland and Tukey took part in the Reflective Workshop in the Kosovo's capital in Prishtina, students played a major role in the planned activities. 3 groups of students presented their ideas regarding the SMAHPC Centre functionalization and working model. They inspired us to work harder towards our goal. SMAHPC team attends Grant-holders Meeting in Brussels

30 Jan 2019 Dardan Bekaj Heimerer College, as the leading partner in the Student-Run Multidisciplinary Allied Health Practice Centre Project, attended the Erasmus + Capacity Building in Higher Education, held in Brussels, as the only albanian high level education institution from Kosovo. Heimerer College, as the only institution representing Kosovo in this meeting, grouped altogether with the peer countries that have 6 to 8 projects under their coordination.  The Erasmus+ Meeting for Capacity Building in Higher Education Institutions was attended by more than 119 universities in the world and with more than 1000 participants generating new ideas and networking to create new collaborations for upcoming projects.

The purpose of establishing this Center is to increase the teachers' and students' competencies in the areas of rehabilitation in Kosovo, enabling practical education in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences through Life-Long Learning (LLL), in accordance with the Bologna process and cooperation with stakeholders on health and rehabilitation institutions, ministries and industry.
